Exclamation F10 seems to have lag or hesitates

1) When it starts up seems fine but then almost stalls out.
2) Making a right hand turn...serious lag or 2 second pause before acceleration.
3) In general, seems unresponsive.

No lights or warnings. Has 62k on 2014 F10 RWD.

Fuel injectors? Spark plugs? Coils? Air filter? Needs maybe a Transmission adaptation? Not sure but tech through that out there just chatting a bit.

Any thoughts??

My tech will figure it out once I take it in. First, my E92 unfortunately hit a pot hole by junior at night so we gotta fix the bent stuff first. money, money, money.

My guess on the F10 is HPFP or fuel injectors. We shall see ...

I would guess LPFP. Pickup is on passenger side, when you make a right turn the gas will slosh to the driver side. My original stock one went out at 48k miles.

Exclamation

Update- Drivetrain malfunction light came on...stuttered a bit so now is perfect time to take it to the dealership and if we can get something fixed for free.

HPFP is the culprit it seems so I will know more Monday when they confirm. Now here is the funny part. I told my SA it looks like BMW will replace it since it's supposedly on the service bulletin from hell list. Now my car is a 2014 550i so... will BMW fix it?? He automatically said he would just call my warranty company handle it possibly. I told him BWM handles this, right? He paused and wouldn't give me a straight answer.

Anyone have some thoughts on this? On the list for service bulletin warranty deal or what? Why the games?

UPDATE...Dealership replaced HPFP today. They took care of it free of charge so for now all is good. I suppose the service bulletin N63 handled it.

The car certainly seems more responsive even in comfort mode. Haven't tried sport or sport+ but tomorrow is another day. With sub freezing temperatures, Michelin P4s, no xdrive it should be a fun day on the ice. JK.

If anything else pops up differently I'll keep everyone posted since I know you're all on the edge of yours seats in anticipation.

Last month I had my HPFP replaced under the service bulletin. Drivetrain malfunction came on...fixed by BMW. Ok great.

Now I was coming home, got on it a little, car start to studder, shake, shimmy, no power, lights come on like Christmas. Figuring it's coils or plugs. Sure enough 2 coils are toast after stealership pulls the codes.

Now the fun begins.(no surprise-kinda). SA explains how it's going to take 6-8 hours to fix this and cost $2500. Reading out of his german hourly labor book of course this is their number. I told him Plan B, hang tight. Called my warranty company and he says 1.8hrs, easy job, piece of cake, done, $450 job. Called my Indy and he laughed and agreed on the $450 cost.

The only reason I went to the dealership is to hopefully have the Injectors possibly throw a code so it would be covered under the service bulletin again. Or Turbos or another item in their "Fix for free" list.

I'm not one to go through an extensive task on complaining to the service manager about my experience but I can't help but laugh at the obvious antics to fuck a customer. What do I expect right?

I went to the dealership to pick up my car and take it over to Indy, they tried to get me to agree for them to appraise my car and trade it in. LOL. WOW! How do these slime balls sleep at night? This is just a beautiful example of how dealerships F their customers, I know this, but they took it to another level.

So I wasted time and money to go down their and get this result. I just have to laugh really. Almost attempting to put together a formal letter, frame it and walk it over to the service manager and have him put in on the wall of shame. Nope. Never again will they do this.

the dealership charges $1200 for the hpfp pump itself, the rest is labor. I did mine for $90 parts and labor

All this just makes me wonder how the dealerships can actually get away with this. Isn't there some sort of regulatory commission that over sees this type of behavior? BB? Seriously, who monitors dealerships?

As with any business, they can charge whatever they want. It's up to the consumer to do their due diligence and patronize the business of their choice. It's not like dealers are price-gouging...

My dealer just happens to be very, very competitive with the local indy (actually over $100 less than the indy for a trans flush and diff oil change and within $25 for a battery change) AND I get a better warranty through my dealer.

Explain this: 2 coils and 2 spark plugs replaced - cost at dealership $2,495. Why? Because "they" say it takes 6 - 8 hours to complete the job because that's what their German labor book tells them. Wow, kinda like the bible, must be true right?

Indy- 1.8 hrs to do the job. My third party warranty agreed 100%. Cost - $450. All paid by warranty.

Final result - NEVER EVER GO TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR ANY MAINTENANCE WORK!

Lastly, they offered me a trade in price if I wanted to get another bmw.

Due diligence right? Of course they're not price goughing...never!

Exclamation

Forgot to mention this... my car almost stalls every day. I come to a stop and it stalls/surges kinda feeling. No codes of course.

Anyone have a clue what this may be? 20 different answers I suppose. Injectors? HPFP already replaced. My Indy already has done a software upgrade but no help there. Anyone else have these same issues?
