Extended warranty help
Hi. I recently bought a 2015 535xi with 40,000 in an auction and the car was a previously leased vehicle.
My factory warranty will expire soon and I’m going through the options of buying an extended warranty or going without and save the same $$ and spend it if something does go wrong. I would appreciate it if you guys can give me your opinion on going with or without. The previous owner appears to have not taken care of the car and so far the dealer has replaced the following and the car runs great. Instrument cluster replaced/repaired under the previous owner. 4. 2019 Condenser replaced Gaskets for valve cover, oil pan and oil filter housing have been replaced. I am leaning towards the Gold option which excludes infotainment system and some electrical components. What do you guys think? I am also jandlt and do know a few good mechanics. My biggest fear is if the injectors, valves etc fail due to poor care from the previous owner. Platinum 60months/100k miles $4109 Gold 60months/100k miles $3709 Powertrain 60months/100k miles $2649 |
