It was -- sort of a Japanese BMWish bike. I don't have a photo of mine on the computer but here's a generic photo. I rather liked it.

Shaft drives were popular with the city bike couriers when I worked in the city, in particular the Kawasaki 550GT's which are almost bullet proof in reliability.
