Wheel Offset
Would these off set fit a 2016 550i? Front: 19 x 8.5 ET+32 Rears: 19 x 10 ET+20. Would they work with spacers and if so what size would fit best? Any help and suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance |

^^^^ listen to Remmib, my rears had to be swapped for a different offset. Mine are 19 front and 35 rear now, the rears were 25 before and stuck out too much. 20 would be worse

All advice given so far is spot on. You could use a 10-12mm spacer up front to get a flush fitment, but the rears are too aggressive by about 12mm. Those rears just wont work on an F10.

I have TSW Mugellos that have 9.5" rears that are ET35 and they literally are flush with the fender. The tires even encroach out 5mm and taper in.

Ed,
Here's the specs on the wheels I have. My bad, my TSWs are ET20, but fitment is as posted. M5 Reps: 19x8.5 ET35 front, 19x9.5 ET35 rear TSW Mugello: 19x8 ET20 front, 19x9.5 ET20 rear. These specs have 100% been on my car. The M5 reps are more flush than the M Sprt OEM, but my TSWs are damn flush and almost sticks out a few mm with the sidewalls of the rim protector. So 10s in the rears will be sticking out beyond the fender. TSW M5 Reps OEM Last edited by krautmeister; 08-29-2016 at 11:08 AM.. |

I don't want to seem condescending but here is a diagram that helps with offsets. The fitment is a function of the wheel width to mounting surface and how far that goes to the outside or inside. Fender clearance, strut clearance, and caliper clearance are the 3 critical dimensions...Offsets are also dependent on wheel design so how far it goes in or out may vary as well.
OEM 351: 19x8.5 ET33 front, 19x9 ET44 rear. Last edited by krautmeister; 08-30-2016 at 10:37 AM.. |

Hi guys,
I got my 2016 528i M Sport RWD about a month ago. I just ordered W Work Gnosis CV202: Front 20 x 9.0 ET25 (Tire 245/35) Rear 20 x 10.5 ET35 (Tire 285/30) Planing to lower the car with Bilstein either B12 or B16 I have gone through some of the posts about wheel offset which are very helpful. I just want to recheck with you once again. Do you think this setup is OK without any rubbing issue? Many thanks in advance for your input. Att |

Figured I would ask this in an existing wheel offset thread.
Looking at some aftermarket wheels that come in the following sizes: 20x8.5 et 35 20x9.5 et 40 20x10.5 et 35 If I'm looking for the nicest fitment (lowered on acs Springs) which wheel size would fit best and with what tire size? Thanks! |

Hello ,
Looking at a set of HRE wheels that are for F80 fitment: 20 x 9.5 with a 20 offset 20 x 11 with a 37 offset I think the back will be fine. But, worried about the front. Any ideas? |

I'm also looking to see if a square set up with these settings would force me to have spacers in front and back...
20 x 10 with a 55 offset.. I think it might be closer to my suspension struts but even though they're wide, the offset is so high that it may be very similar to my current offset of 33 on my oems... |

amrh,
according to an online wheel and tyre calculator, your fronts would have a 32.1mm difference from your original setup, my estimated guess is that your setup would poke out by a fairly large margin... |

Thanks Proseven! You confirmed my suspicion. I know that back would be ok, but was concerned about the fronts. |

Hey Guys,
Glad to have come across this as I have some questions about fit as well. I'm horrible with understanding wheel/tire fitment and how offsets work. I am looking at some wheels where I have the following wheel options: 20"x8.5" et35 20"x9.5" et40 20"x10.5" et35 I have an f10 528i Xdrive with standard suspension at the moment. I plan on lowering the car around 0.75"- 1" (Either eibach/ACS springs or some coils) Current wheels are the stock 351 19s in staggered. Can anyone provide some input on what combination of these wheels and tire sizes will provide the best fit? I'm not against using spacers either (I currently have a set of BMS 12/15mm in the garage I could use if needed, but could buy different sizes if necessary). As i'm xDrive I also need to make sure I stay within the proper thresholds as to not mess up the tranny (within 3% or something right?) Thanks in advance all! |
