I am on 20" wheels non runflat with H&R Springs.
I am now around 6k miles with my H&R sway bars and still loving the feel of them on the highway. I feel much more confident doing a lane change or going 80+mph on the highway no doubt. I am most likely wearing out other suspension parts faster because of how much faster I have been driving though! lol

If you want less sway in your 5 series then I will say it again this mod is totally worth it.

Yes, it will fit as will the Eibach. Hope you live somewhere where the roads are good, the Eibachs were intolerably rough in Chicago.

Good luck.

Haha not really, Roads are terrible,, But I have to tight it somehow, I had E60 before and even stock supsension was nice and feeling compare f10. So you removed it??? Any difference between those two? And how hard is to install them? Thank you

Yes, the Eibachs are gone. Instead I have KW V3s with the stock bars, which is a huge improvement and still tolerable on crappy roads. Definitely worth the $$.

Good luck.

Is it worth getting KW V3 for 5 series? Not really going to be competitive for tracking considering the vehicle weight and does it compromise ride quality for day-to-day driving?

What are your lowering goals? Just looks? I would choose a shock/spring combo so you don't kill the factory shocks too soon. Just be aware that you'll wear out suspension parts much, much sooner.

You might be surprised how well an m-sport 5 can autocross! Will it be as good as a 3? Nope, but it would be fun!!

Stock look is fine for me. The trouble I've had during autocross was putting power down in the rain, effectively nulling any gain from the increased power from 535 to 550 so a LSD would be first on my list before suspension mods.

For F10 X-Drive owners, KWv3 is pretty much the only choice. There are spring kits that will work on X-Drive, but none of the usual shock manufacturers (Koni, Eibach, Bilstein) have put out stiffer dampers that will fit the X-Drive. Ditto for the coilover manufacturers. KW released coilovers but only in the V3 variant. Some people do just springs and keep stock dampers - that won't be my choice.

RWD F10s have lots of options, include the lesser variants from coilover manufacturers.

So - sure, KWv3s are a "waste" on an F10, but it's the only solution for X-Drive other than a springs-only approach if you want to sharpen up the chassis a bit. I wish KW released v1s for X-Drive, personally.

I installed a set of H&R sway bars on my 530d SE about 6 months ago, so I figured I should chime in on this one. I've attached some pics that show the H&Rs vs the OEM set up. The OEM bars feel like a kids toy compared to the H&R bars. The OEMs flex quite a bit more, especially the rear one. The front H&R bar wasn't that much larger in diameter over OEM, but the delta of the rear bar diameter was significant.

As far as handling improvements, I don't have any empirical data other than a seat of the pants score. I definitely would not rave about the performnce increase like the OP did. I'd say that body roll on my car was reduced by about 15-20% more, so not a massive difference. However, the car already had M5 20" wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires installed, so I think someone with stock wheels and RF tires may see a more drastic improvement than I did.

Installation was really straightforward and I didn't have to cut any plastic undercarriage panels or remove the muffler. The H&R bars cost me 342 from this shop on ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/cartuningpoint

I'd say this is a really simple mod that's worth the money, but don't expect massive handling gains from this. On the flip side, I've not noticed any negative effects from having the larger bars. The ride quality is the same.
