Brembo does NOT MAKE A F10 retrofit kit for the our cars. I spoke to their engineers directly. That means all these kits you see online for brembo f10 calipers are someone taking either m5 calipers or GT calipers, custom making the bracket adapter and making a 4 thousand dollar profit!!! Not one of those kits states a new master cylinder is needed. Even DINAN makes a brembo brake kit for the f10. So.... Where are all of these calipers coming from??? My opinion is they are m5 calipers, repainted, new adapter bracket and then sold at crazy profit.... We will see....

I've send you several PM on this seller, but i never get any respond. I guess either you don't want to share it with everyone or you're just too stingy... either way, good luck with your build man. I'm on the market for a F/R brackets as well.

Just bought my front calipers and discs,
I read somewhere you also now make adaptors for "stock rear calipers" to take the m5 rear bigger rotors is that right??
will be contacting you by email shortly thanks.

I'd like to do this for my 2010 F07 550ix, how would it be different than installing the M5 brakes on a F10, especially for the rear.
Thanks in advance fellas.

Mine are going on in a few weeks. Had to finish up Band and Oulfsen retrofit first and then onto brakes.
Yes I purchased the adapters from Tronik. The install was straight forward, it bolts right on. The only thing you have to cut a little is the brake dust shield to make clearance for the calipers. The install took all day.

Pics of Install

Bump to top to show install pics. I will document everything and post here. There is a considerable amount of prep work to make sure you have all the right parts ready. You will need M5 Brake lines front and back, Rear M5 Brake line clilps, Front Rotor Bolts to hold to axle, have a dremel ready to cut the brake dust protectors, have a 9 MM HEX socket ready as most sets only have a 8mm and 10 mm in them, and a few other little tips and tricks. Also highly recommend a pressurized bleeding system so one person can bleed brakes.

Rear adapter clearance issue

So, it looks like the rear adapter brackets are off 2-3 mm on my car. Did anyone else have issues mounting the rear adapters? I thought at first I might have had the wrong bolts cause the body shop lost my original M12 1.5 x35mm bolts. But it looks like this is an issue with the start bolt.

The top star bolt that inserts from the car side into the Brake pad assembly will not clear the axle mount.

This was fixed by removing 2-3 mm of material from the axle with a Dremel. Just make sure you dont go into the Mounting bolt mounting face. Then ensure you smooth off cut to prevent a cracking surface.

Hi gents. I don't venture into the 5series forum often, but I have a set of blue front M5 calipers if anyone is looking. They should be rebuilt as at least one of the seals is leaking, but I have not had time to mess with them. I have seen full rebuild kits for both calipers for $500 including new pistons. PM me with an offer if anyone is interested. If not, I may save them for when I pick up an F10 of my own.

Just read through the thread. It talked about the rears being 4 piston calipers, but pic above shows standard 1 piston? Skipped the brembo rear? I was wondering if there was a brembo rear that worked with the electronic parking brake on the f10 (does M5 rear have electronic parking brake too?) I have a stoptech bbk in the front, and would consider an upgrade for the rear if available...

One Piston Rear brakes, any mention of 4 piston was a typo. The rear Caliper IS IDENTICAL to the M5. The only difference is the rear brake pad assembly. Thought I mentioned that somewhere. You could use your existing caliper and add the Brake housing holder if you can find the part. Of course it would need to be painted blue. You will still need adapter to move the Caliper housing away from Hub to accommodate the bigger rotor though. You can also purchase OEM adapter from Person mentioned earlier in this thread and use existing caliper and brake housings and the adapter will mover the assembly to proper distance. And yes, M5 and non M5 all use Electronic brake.
