Anzafin's F10 550i xDrive 2010
Hello fellow F10/11 people! My name is Antti and this is my first post here about my 2010 550i xdrive, sophisto grey, msport.
I bought the car a year and a half ago, and I've been doing some mods during the last winter. Here's the list: - Z-Performance ZP2.1 - Liquid Metal (9,5x20 ET22 with 12mm spacers & 11x20 ET44) - Hankook Ventus S1 EVO2 K117 (255/35R20 & 295/30R20) - Style 343 replicas as winter wheels (9,5x19ET32 on every corner) - Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8 (255/40R19) studded winter tires - H&R -35mm lowering springs - OEM M5 front bumper - OEM M5 kidneys (edges vinyl wrapped in shiny black) - OEM M5 front fenders + aftermarket side grilles - Self made front splitter - Brake calipers painted in blue - OEM M5 M-competition catback exhaust - Rear diffuser - Door handles vinyl wrapped in shiny black - Rear spoiler I wanted the M5 front end to get some wider wheels and/or lower offsets, not trying to be a wannabe-M5 . My ex-car was an E60 M5, and would have never sold it, but I drive my car through the whole year, and I wanted an xdrive for our winters in Finland. Here's few pics. I can post pics of those mods as well (taken when they were built/installed). How do you like it? Here's couple of sound clips with the M-competition catback exhaust: http://vid469.photobucket.com/albums...428_173135.mp4 http://vid469.photobucket.com/albums...409_202403.mp4 Thanks for watching! - Antti - Last edited by Anzafin; 10-29-2018 at 02:09 PM.. |

I like what you did with the side vents by putting '550i' instead of 'M5' or leaving them blank. I might follow the same path one of these days.
Very good color.

Thanks, looking to do the same thing, bumpers should be painted this week. Did you actually had to cut the M5 grill to fit OEM plate? I was planning to mount ACC unit behind the grill and put some custom plastic plate in the front of the unit.

Ok, here's few pics about how I fixed the ACC radar cover.
I cut it off from the msport grille and then made a hole for it in the M5 grille. I am not sure how well the radar could work through the grille mesh and the cover, so I cut off the mesh. The cover is fixed with cable ties. There's actually quite a lot of work fitting the M5 front bumper into a non-M5, like... - ACC radar re-locating - cutting and removing different plastic parts behind the bumper (depending on a model) - pedestrian protection system sensors re-fitting - underpanels Feel free to ask if there's anything you need to know about the conversion. - Antti - |
