F10 fender light and bumper reflector shaving

As the thread title says, I am licking around the idea of shaving the fender light trim as well as the bumper reflector. To me both look cheap on our cars. Does anyone know if anyone has done this yet?

I've seen it done for other cars (haven't yet for the F10), so it's definitely "do-able". With that said, it's gonna be COSTLY if you want it done right. To start with, our fenders are aluminum, which isn't the easiest to work with and weld (you don't want them filling the hole with bondo). Then for the bumper, they'll use something like plasti-hair which isn't meant for large areas, so who knows how well it'll hold.

I've learned to live with the fenders by getting the IND Distro matching side markers. It's not a perfect solution, but looks a lot better than chrome or just black. For the bumper, you can get an aftermarket euro-spec front bumper which doesn't have reflectors.

What color is your car? I found the painted fender trim in alpine white, but I couldn't decide if it would help or not.

I will have to look at the euro bumper.
Thanks,

Mine is Alpine White. Like I said, not perfect, but beats the chrome or going black. I also have a new bumper on the way without the reflectors. I'll share pics later this month when it's painted and installed.

I recently painted my side markers. Body matched alpine white. That could help, and is easy.

This picture was from when I had the M5-style bumper installed on my car 2 months ago. I've since sold the bumper to a fellow forum member, but it gives you an idea of the body matching fender trim and the euro-spec bumper without the reflector.
