Not sure where you got the 15 k. The normal schedule is either 6000/7000 or one year. BMW already updated the oil change interval.

Where did you see that? My 2014 says 2 years or 12K miles.

??? My CBS tells me 6000 miles or one year.
I reset my oil change Last year after diy change, also previous oil changes by the dealers all showing 6000 or one year on CBS after reset.
This has been updated since 2015 after the software update.
I have 13 550.

Yea, BMW lowered the intervals specifically for the 550i pre-LCI (and maybe with the LCI ones too) due to the problems with the N63. N55's are still the balls long intervals.

I'm in Chicagoland as well and didn't see it. Let's see if other dealers in the area will match that. My worry is that they will use the wrong weight oil, as they always do, which is 0W30 or 5W30. The V8s need 0-5W40 or they weep and leak. It's like the put thin oil in on purpose (and encourage you to come in for their "special") so that your gaskets leak and they charge you $15k to replace everything. Motorworks has tried to do that to me multiple times (as have other dealerships).
