Rear subframe mount symptoms

Looking for advice from those who have experienced bad rear subframe mounts how does it feel.

I have a 2017 g30 530e and due to the model being around only 4 years rear subframe mount failures are not yet reported.

I thought F10 owners may have a better experience of this issue.

So I have had the car checked by BMW and all suspension shocks and springs are perfect. Car had variable dampers.

BMW haven't been much help as I think they haven't had much experience of issues either.

I also did the following in the last 6 months due to other issues

New alloys and tyres all oem 20 inch forged
New brake discs and pads
Alignment done twice by both BMW and local specialist
Have videoed every inch of the car suspension and engine mounts etc and nothing is moving.
Latest I step software car wide
Tried 18 inch alloys

So my symptoms are instability at slow speeds car rear shakes right to left in even the smallest bump in the road. It's like the car gets unsettled and takes time to find it balance again.

At high speed on motorway it is almost not noticed but I can feel it in the background when changing lanes etc.

Seems the chassis is moving right to left like a dog wagging its tail.

Also seems in one video the rear subframe is moving front to rear when accelerating and braking see 2.04 going over so we bump but not sure if that is normal

Any help I'm going mad a modern BMW can't handle like this, wish I had kept my E92.

Just a thought...

Were the 18" wheels, the set tried by the dealer? How did they feel at the lower speeds you are predominantly picking up the movement?

BTW, I've not read anything indicating there is a rear subframe mounting wear issue, with the F10/11 models.

Hi Pete it didn't make a difference to the rear side to side shake at all.

This is a real mystery I know the small tear in the transmission mounts isn't an issue as BMW won't even change them under warranty until at least two arms tear completely.

Someone said to me via message that the VDC controller and units on each shocks can get confused and he had a reflash done to factory spec which solved some similar issues he was having. But can't see any mention of it anywhere else and BMW don't agree.

So frustrating.
