Oil pan gasket replacement for F10 n55 535i XDrive

Just order parts for it. My buddy is going to help me to do it. We never done it before. Is there anyone here have done it before? Any write up? Thanks

This video look like the most information out there but for E90.

I've done it on e53 X5. It's very tedious and time consuming. Easier if you have a lift. Make sure to replace the bolts. I just got under mine today. And it appears I may have to do the f10 soon.

Let us know how it goes. I have the adaptive drive suspension and my indie said if it's not pouring out then don't do it bc it'll cost over 3k. Every. Single. BMW. Seeps from the oil pan

Yup because it's a stupid design for a gasket. Metal surrounded by a small bead of rubber. That bead of rubber over time and hot/cold cycles turns to plastic. And cracks causing leaks. You could probably open it. Clean it and use rtv silicone,and it wouldn't leak for 30 years.
