Bad Turbo - No Boost - diagnostics

Hey Guys...so i have a 2012 535i N55...
i had that infamous drive train malfunction when speeding up...
i tried a few things and finally endup changing the Boost solenoid...after changing the boost solenoid the problem went away for a week or so and i pushed the car hard but no error came up at all...
last week was driving and the error came up....ahh

i then decided to get the codes using ISTAD out which were the same as i had gotten before.(see very bottom)

i decided to get it diagnosed professionally so took it to a reputable BMW indy shop...the mechanic seemed knowledgable and checked a few things...told me that the vacuum was holding so wasnt a leak...he also activated the wastegate lever that opens up a door inside the turbo and showed me that it was moving.
said not much he can do without having a physical look at the turbo itself...
he said for that he will have to lower the downpipe and its a lot of work and labor and it will be an expensive fix...just for diagnostics it will be around $450.

my questions is has anyone really had issues with their turbos? i am not a heavy footer and havent really gunned or abused my car....my wife drives it mostly and is a easy driver. how can the turbo just go bad like this. car only has 70k on it.
i couldnt find a single video on youtube or any information on N55 turbos on F10s.
Anyone here done anywork on turbos? i have done pretty much everything on a car except turbos.
i can really use some guidance or help here so i can try to diagnose it myself.
anyone can share any document that will help me how to get to the turbo and how i can check the wastegate, and internal turbo or how can i adjust turbo linkage on F10. i have seen some videos on other engines but need some specifics on F10s.

Errors on ISTA D:
120308- charging pressure control, plausibility pressure too low
101F01-Airmass system, plausibility calculated air masses in the air intake system not pla.....

It could be the MAF sensor (sensor right after the air filter) and/or the boost solenoid (located on the charge pipe going to the engine).

I have a 2012 535i with about 90k miles, no turbo issues.

I don't think it's the turbo.

My turbo issue was resolved at 95,000 miles by replacing the oil pump along with the timing chain. My hunch is that it was becoming oil starved by a weak oil pump.

Obviously not your problem, but others may benefit from it.

Did the indy mechanic check anything else? When he moved the wastegate arm was it tight and not loose?

Charge pipe leak, vent tube cracked & leaking (more than one), any slight rattle indicating the wastegate needs an adjustment due to actuator wear, etc.?

The boost solenoid is what was changed and is located above the exhaust manifold with vacuum lines running to it for the wastegate actuator. The (T)MAP sensor, or (Temperature) Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor, is connected to the charge pipe and a way to measure the boost pressure (& charge air temp) going to the throttle body.

Man I got so fed up of tracing it down. Someone offered me 12.5k as is and I sold the vehicle. Glad and peace of mind now.
Had 78k on it 2012 535i. Hope I got decent $ for it.

That is actually pretty good value. But I think it could have been diagnosed better with a more experienced shop.
