I did this and the engine light didn’t come back and also took it for a quick test drive and it was great. So i left the car over night. Next morning the car started but ran rough and died on itself. I’m not getting any codes other than the same 101F01 code and then a bunch of misfire codes form all cylinders. Can someone explain what is happening?
I'm looking inside the Forums, there is a Thread on the original Code you had from your first message. Type in your problem code and N55 and it should appear on google results. You will see that it is within our Forum.

i’ve searched around looking at the original code, i have a new issue now where the car just shuts itself off after startup like the video i sent earlier.

Yes, but you can easily reset error if it is not faulty.

i replaced spark and coils, still same issue. my thought is that the dme has the wrong values and is shutting itself down upon startup. i’m not sure how to fix it if it is the issue though

i have an update, it’s funny but my dad who usually works with me on bmw’s came back from a trip and he somehow got it to keep running by constantly revving the engine on startup even though i tried the same thing. It seems like it’s only surging once and a while so we bought a new air mass flow sensor and will see if it fixes it. currently it intermittently bogs and surges on cold start.

Yeah, sometimes things like that go overlooked and we tend to extend out minds into places further into diagnosing, concluding to possible complex issues, when sometimes, it can be something simple, I really hope that fixes your issue.
