It was a pleasure following your experience, what a job, I like the fact you went as far as getting the M5 light switches to leave the front fog light one out! I was also surprised I thought the front fog light for the M5 are incorporated in the main light casing!

A unique car for sure, excellent! One question if you don’t mind are you the owner of the garage or work in one with access to all tools for the jobs at hand? If not I take it not cheap having to access all tools for the job!

I think this makes the wheel look even smaller... if your going with black got to be 20'' minimum with 35/30 tyres. I would leave winter set silver and summer set black/graphite.
Yes, at my pics the shiny black wheels vs matt tires gives too much contrast. But since I`m in build mode, my car looks like shit. I use tire dressing every time I drive it. Then the contrast is levelled out and the black looks bigger

You can take a look at my detailing thread of my last Z4. Maby you see that I don`t joking about the tire dressing

Yes, I work in a Ferrari/Maserati workshop. So have all the tools I need. You can say I`m real lucky with that one

Thanks

Did the exhaust today or a good exhaust shop did my exhaust

I did a muffler delete with Porsche Cayenne GTS tips

The sound is totally changing the appearance of the car. A deep roumble of a V8 soundtrack is now what you hear. It is some light drone on low rpms, but just a little. Don`t think it will bother me

Those Porsche tips was perfect in my new M5 diffuser, really happy

Parked along one of my naighbours carbon black 525d M-sport, just to compare Since my car was a non M-sport when I started the conversion, the difference is even bigger. Something have changed this last month

Exhausts and the rear diffuser look great, are you tinting the rear lights and reflectors too?

Thank you all
No tinting of rear taillights. Just windows. Can't see why people are wraping or painting those rear reflectors. As long as they are a part of the bumper, it looks silly to do some cheap looking masking of them. Just my opinion....

Completely agree on the reflectors. And you want them if you have to stop on the road and have no rear lights. You don't want anybody to drive into the rear of your car because they couldn't spot it soon enough since you didn't have any reflectors. Would be bad for your car, bad for those who crashed into you. And if the Police and insurance see that you have covered your reflectors and that is deemed to have been a contributing fact to the accident...

Here`s two soundclips I have done. It is with a phone camera, so the quality isn`t great. It is louder in real life...

Coldstart:

After driven the car for some days, I think it`s too much drone for my taste It is not crazy loud, but the little drone around 2000rpm drives me crazy. I will go for some mufflers pretty soon

What the exhaust set up currently? I have M5 cat back on my 550 and it sounds similar but it seems like you get more of that backfire pop on your revs?
It can't be the tips that make the difference?

I have done a muffler delete. I think mufflers will sadly get rid of the poping sound....

okay, interesting...I was going to do resonator delete and I tied my butterfly valves open. The thing is I don't want it too loud. I think also keeping the valves open increase drone under 3 or so.

Since I have M5 fenders on a 550i, I had to get rid of the M5 badges.

So I have made my own designed badges. Since it is a 550i Xdrive, it is a little cool to have M5 side vents with Xdrive badges

So, what do you think?
