help with retrofiting soft close doors on f10

So its my first post ik thank you for welcoming me:happyanim:

so i have 2013 550i almost fully loaded .im missing the upgraded sound system and soft close doors.
i realy wanted the soft close doors but the retrofit kits are $2000 .if you are a student you know thats alot for just softclosing doors.if i had that money i would spend it on an dinan stage one.
so my friend also had a 2013 650i which got rear ended sadly.
The thing is he did have softclose doors and his car was grandcoupe so it did have 4 doors.
is it possible to just replace the actuator and call it a day? is it gonna that simple?
how hard is this gonna be? do i need to wire something to the fuse box? do i need extra harnesses? i litterly have zero clue and i dont wanna tear the cars down to find out these questions.:mad0259:

I'd get onto the parts sites and see if the part numbers match

Here's the part numbers for soft close doors:

Front:
51217185692/51217185689

Rear:
51227154516/51227154515

Unfortunately none of these are shared in the six series, so it would be a no go. You can find these motors used at around 200-300 bucks on ebay, so you could do the retrofit for 1000, but still definitely not cheap. If you don't have any idea what you're doing with the car electronics and such, buy the bimmertech retrofit. It's a 1k premium, but it'll be a lot easier than figuring it out on your own.

To be honest, it's not worth it. Soft close doors are nice, but they're gimmicky and are just another thing that'll break. And it's not "if they'll break", it's "when they'll break". If it's something you're trying to get to wow people, 99% of people won't even notice and just slam the doors anyhow. IMO they're mostly useful for people with young children, so that they don't pinch their fingers or fail to close the door.

Not worth it. My driver side actuator broke causing it to make a banging sound when closed and changing it was a pain let alone the cost of the actuator- $500. And people were selling used one for more than what they costed at the dealership.
