Cost to install springs?

I ordered the ACS springs for my 550 - what would be a reasonable price to pay to install? Does the Dynamic handling package add any complexity to the installation? Any recommendations for installers in the Chicago-land area?

Not sure on cost. But you may want to give Rennology in Oak Forest a call. They do a lot of performance upgrades and have heard good things about them, even from my dealer.

Thanks for all the input and recommendations - now, to wait for the springs to arrive...

about 300 to 350,

springs or coils dont really matter on our cars, its as much work to take apart the whole thing.

I had the 550 Xi lowering springs installed earlier this month at Fall-Line Motorsports in Buffal Grove, IL. (847)215-9500. They did a superb job and the RD springs I purchased were a great match for the 2011 F10 Xi.

I assume they'd install coilovers? Will give them a call.

LA costs are around 350. Coilovers should be the same price as springs as it's the same amount of work. The only thing is the may charge you more depending on how many times you take to finalize your ride height.

So; i had a place in chicago quote about $850 for installing kw3 coilovers... Said they nees the car a day and a half to install; do a few drive cycles, align and balance. Said the coilovers need to settle; and that sometimes it takes 5-6 days for it to do so....

Reaction...

that's crazy. I got mostly $500. That's based on 80/hour x 6 hours according to the BMW installation guide they found online. But most of the shops can do it in about 4 hours, espcially if they access the bolts/nuts through the rear speakers. I had mine done at X projects in Glenview. it was about $330. IND distribution in Palatine will do it for about $300.

Paid 350 in NJ, but most Indy Shops wanted 650 to 850.

Did you also purchase the RD springs from Fall Line? Can you PM me the price of springs and installation please?
