Anyone done this on an F10 LCI? The main difference is that there's no actual indicator light in the chrome piece compared to the pre-LCI.

I have a real CF front splitter and CF mirror caps, but can't find a real CF replacement for these side markers anywhere (for LCI). Tempted to do the thin chrome strips in the door handles too.

I'm tempted to do them on my LCI, I'm not a fan of chrome at all. I'm thinking paint would be a better option, I'm sure I would manage to unstick the vinyl when washing.

Yeh, I have a company locally who have some very nice mock CF. It's even textured and looks very realistic (from a distance anyway). So I'm considering that and having the little chrome strips in the door handles done.

The only thing that bothers me is that I generally stay away from anything that's fake and wrapped. So I'd end up with a real CF performance kit and wrapped side parts - just not sure! I have the real CF mirror caps too so it may be noticeable that the side chrome parts are fake.

Part of me doesn't mind the chrome, as the wheels are still silver - bit the front is de-chromed.

Decisions...!

I had mine done in gloss black wrap, I thought carbon was not the right choice for such small parts...

That may not be a bad call, then would tie in with the de-chromed look on the front. Just need to check if mines matt of gloss (kidney grills)

I'm unsure whether black to tie in with the shadow line details or body coloured, I have only seen chrome or black fitted so I'm note sure if body coloured would look odd.

Depends on the colour of your car and the amount of contrasting detailing that you have imo. I have an AW F10 and have lots of gloss black and carbon detailing so black was appropriate for my car. However body coloured may suit some cars better...

Right, let's get this decided! Two pics - before and (possible) after with black wrapping. Preferences please?!

Mine is space grey M sport with black shadow line detail and currently a chrome grille which will be changed for a black one in the not too distant future.
I'm leaning towards body colour, I think might stick out too much, if I don't like it I can always paint them black.

Black's looking popular! I definitely won't go for body colour, and part of me still likes the chrome... Sacking the fake CF idea off I think.

I think it's because the wheels are quite 'silver', so the chrome highlights don't look too much out of place.

I think I am too, I put some electrical tape on mine to see how it looked before doing anything more permanent, obviously tape looked awful close up but from a distance it gave me a decent idea. It would appear BMW made the right choice with the chrome.

I found this post really helpful for wrapping my LCI with park assist. Thank you! The tabs are really tricky so real care is needed. I actually bought a couple from BMW and wrapped them new. Word of warning though. The paint used on the parking sensors is SO fragile, that after test wrapping them to see if they would still work under wrap (they do), I removed the test piece and it took the paint off with it! Not happy! But a problem for another day...
