ETA: It would appear that the responsible party - you know who you are - reserves the right to perform sub-par work and is not above issuing threats in defending their alleged "reputation."

Dead battery is an easy one...maybe it was time, but what is their explanation for the hissing sound? Is you car under warranty, because that could be covered
