Biggest wheel spacer without extended studs

Hi guys. I have a bone stock 535i msport. Stock height, at the moment and will likely go with H&R lowering springs since I liked the drop, with stock msport wheels. Can I get away with a 10mm spacer in the rear without having to buy extended studs? Or is that too much length? I just want to have a nice flush look after the spring install. Thanks.

You need extended lug bolts with 10mm spacers. BMS 10mm spacers some with the extended bolts.

Bms sells 10mm spacers and if I’m not mistaken they include the extended bolts for the type of spacers you get.

I got the ones from Burger Tunning as well. I have 10mm on the fronts and 15mm on the rears. Also lowered on H&R sport springs

I got 10mm in the front and 12mm in the back, and i cant use my oem wheel locks on the 12mm. But on the 10mm they barely thread on. Its fine tho cuz its only one bolt out of 5. I wouldnt recommend using stock bolts on 10mm

3mm spacers on stock lug bolts are sketchy, 5mm spacers get about 2 threads of engagement into the hub with stock lug bolts. Enough to hold the wheel on for a picture but not enough to drive on certainly.

You want bolt engagement equal to the diameter of the bolt into the hub.

I wouldn't use any OEM parts after 5mm spacers. Be safe and invest in aftermarket extended wheel locks. But it also depends on where you live, I dont have wheel locks on my car for that reason. Its honestly a pain when I have to take the wheels off for whatever reason to have to go get the stupid wheel lock key from the trunk and like guard it with my life. Now I just use the same socket for all 20 bolts.

There is a reason why there is 5 bolts and not 4 bolts. Factor mainly such as balance.

I just put some Rohanna wheels on my 535i and I’m not happy with the fit, but kinda worried about adding spacers from fear of wheel coming off while driving, do you guys run spacers with no issues? ( with the extended bolts of course )

There is absolutely nothing wrong or unsafe about a quality hubcentric spacer with appropriately lengthened bolts.
