Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and will be purchasing my new 535i M sport next week, but I have a bit of a dilemma.
I'm on the fence between an Alpine White or a Carbon Black 535i. The interior on both are black dakota, with anthracite wood trim, and anthracite head liner. Any suggestions taking the following into consideration: 1. Overall look (luxurious vs. sporty) 2. Looking dirty easily 3. Problems with swirls after some time. |

I had the same problem with Sapphire Black and Alphine White... in the end went for the latter because I want to look badass..... also black had oyster vs white with grey.

I love the way Alpine White shows off the contrast of the front-bumper shape. It also looks hot when you tint the windows. (I'm not into the totally blacked-out look)
That said, if you have to go Black.. go Carbon Black... |

As an AW owner , I'm kinda biased...and as a former owner of a black E36, I'm sure....
White looks great all of the time, black is the best if you're a nut about keeping it clean, and can look past the inevitable swirls and imnperfections that any black will show. With that I present..

I had a white Nissan GT-R which I loved. The lower rocker panel (and airdam) grey pieces really broke up the white well.
On the BMW (and many other cars), the white is too "white". I think it looks too feminine without contrast to break up all of the whiteness/light color. Also keeping a white car clean is no easy task. My GT-R had crap on the rear of the car literally after a drive home from a carwash. |

I like AW but if resale in on your mind too then by all means get the dark car. People who buy them like the dark colors. When I went to pick up my AW car there were 16 ordered F10s all in line at the back of the dealership waiting for their owners - ALL of them where dark: black, carbon black, space grey, the other grey, etc. Mine was the only light car there.

AW is more easy to maintain in regards to swirls, scratches and stuff. But it will look dirty quickly, almost the same as a CB car. AW is better for enviroments with intensive sunshine, a CB car will heat up much more inside than a AW car does.

Saw two white audi's one a4 and a6 next to each other today, noticed both the drivers looking at each other a little deflated! AW is amazing until the only space in the car park is next to another AW f10/11... I like the colour on other peoples car, couldn't live with it....
