Better than new soft opening trunk lid
Boot/trunk lid fixed, via an aftermarket new right-hand side return strut spring.
The only things missing are the BMW logo on the grey plastic end, the oil leak at the bottom of the strut, and the hole in my wallet. I can now press the buttons to open the trunk and forget about it. The 12 year old leaking strut is pictured below, the new one is of course hidden so the BMW logo is not going to be missed. |
