M sport conversion
So I have an f10 with a stock rear bumper that I’m trying to convert to the m sport version. Fitment is great besides the lane change assist sensors blocking me from fully seating the bumper all the way. Did I get the wrong part, is there any fabricating that needs to be done to make it work, or am I just plain stupid?

You need new brackets, when changing bumpers.
Left Bracket PN 66326864547 needs to be changed to 66326782359 (~$17 new from BMW) Right Bracket PN 66326864548 needs to be changed to 66326782360 (~$17 new from BMW) Last edited by M_Bimmer; 03-16-2024 at 10:51 AM.. |

If you'd like the S704 suspension (M-sport suspension), I have the front and rear shock assemblies, 100% complete with strut/springs/hats/etc, and the front and rear sway bars, all from a 2014 F10 550i. You'd need to get the large sway bar bushings (if you want to be 100% correct).
I didn't realize they were from a 550, and put them on my 2014 535. Had them on the car for a month, and while the rears worked fine, due to engine weight differences, the front were a bit too stiff (spring constant "k" was too high for the lighter engine), so all 4-corners came off, and I went with Koni's all the way around, using my original S704 springs, spring perches, and hardware. They are "free" depending on your location, packaging and shipping may start to be cost prohibitive. Up to you. |
