Long story short, I asked what I should purchase for coding and diagnosis of a newly purchased 2011 535i M sport. I was told purchase the K+Scan cable from bimmergeeks. With more research myself looks like protool from bimmergeeks will not work with my vehicle. I have not purchased the software but I have purchased the cable. The next step is to purchase software to code and diagnos issues. With that being said bimmerlink and iCarly both suggest Bluetooth OBD2 connecters. I have a Android phone but I also have a HP notebook and a nice laptop windows based. I would like to use the laptop or notebook. Please explain what I should purchase and why. I'm very confused with alot that I read. This is my first ever BMW. Thank you in advance!
