Raccoon vs Fog Light

Call it a draw ... raccoon sacrificed his life to push the fog light back. Broken bracket is my guess.

Tell me the M Style bumper cover does not need to be replaced to have the fog light re-attached? near as I can tell the lamp bracket has broken. bezel is fine.

other option - replace bezel with the black that matches the lower air intake on center and forget it has fog lamps.

I would have to say it needs to come off to find out what all is broken.

Did you try looking for removal instructions on the TIS website (if there aren't any in your owners manual)? If not...click link, type in the last 7 digits of your VIN, then type "remove fog light" in the search box: www.newtis.info

this! remove the bumper and see what exactly is damaged and what needs to be replaced. makes things easier as there's a lot of components you can't see until you dig in more. good luck

Wow, you lucked out! I hit a raccoon at same spot on the front end. Ended up costing me $2600, $900 of it was the new bumper cover, $250 for a new foglight, and lots of black plastic ducting & stuff.

There's lots of black plastic parts behind the bumper cover that could be damaged / gone.

If insurance is not paying, I would just leave it alone.
