A Pillar problem

I recently pulled off my A pillar to install a dash cam and after reinstalling it and getting all the clips secured I cannot for the life of me get the screw to thread back in. Its like there is no hole or anything for it to go into. Anyone ran into this before?

Thanks

The trim piece has to be in the correct location. Try moving it up or down to find the correct location.
