Fan ramping up and down

Hi guys I have a 2011 535 with 35000 mile, lately I been hearing the fan ramping up and down even if the ac is off or stop at a red light. Check the temp and everything looks normal.

Scan the car and check if you have a water pump code.

Do you know the code offhand? I suspect my water pump may be at the early stages of failure and scanned for codes using Bimmerlink; I didn't get any water pump codes. I did select water pump RPM as a reading and was watching it today. It was pretty hot (100º) and when driving above 40 the pump got up to 250rpm. When I stopped at a red it slowed to around 80. When I got home and parked in the garage it went to 45 and less. Is this normal operation of indicative of a failing pump/

TIA!

20A804: Engine cooling system: coolant pump shutdown due to blockage
20A701: Engine cooling system: coolant pump speed out of tolerance

These were the codes I had. I am not a mechanic but this is just what happened to me. I kept driving with the fan doing the same thing. Eventually a few days later I got the over heat light right before I parked it. At that point I stopped driving it and just replaced. I haven't had a problem since.

THANK YOU!! The only code I can't clear is associated with the heater for the vent tube; which doesn't concern me.
