Has anyone had experience having updates done over PC from mybimmerbrain, on instagram/facebook just curious. Having him do it can save me a bit of money instead of paying dealer for dreaded "Diagnosis Fee" of 144$ plus whatever ecu needs updating.

i'm thinking my situation is similar to yours...maybe not? $243 is what they're asking for a vehicle scan. just to check vehicle overall performance, sensors and what not

Probably, it seems such a scam to charge people a "scan/diagnosis" fee.

when I did my oil last week he brought it up to my attention saying that the vehicle scan is past due. I asked what it's for and he basically said it's just to scan the car and make sure everything's running fine. he didn't even want to go in depth as far as what exactly but just gave a basic answer of "oh, it's just to make sure everything's running fine." no fluid changes, filters, ect...just a scan...for $243!

I have ista, I'm wondering if anyone can have used had someone like mybimmerbrain to update dme through internet over team viewer. I'm not worried of diagnosis, thanks though.
