Daylight Parking Light Malfunction in 2015 528xi

Hello,

I have a 2015 528xi and recently one of the halo lights went out with Daylight Parking Light Malfunction message.
The dealership told me an outrageous $1000 for the repair of this bulb so it looks like I have no choice but to fix it myself. The car won't pass NYS inspection without it. I identified what I think is the proper LED module and got it for Amazon for $30. The part number is 63117343876.
I have 2 questions and would really appreciate any help:

1. Is 63117343876 the correct module? My research indicates that it is but it would be good to get some confirmation.
2. I searched and watched multiple videos on the topic but nothing precisely for my car's model. Some people remove the entire headlight unit and some access the LED module from underneath, removing the wheel fender. I also went to newtis.info and found something there but the procedure requires removing the fender, front bumber cover, headlight and whole bunch of body related stuff which I would really love to avoid doing. So, my second question is: what is the easiest way to do it in 2015 528xi (if there is any easy way)?

I would appreciate any help.

Chris

That should be the correct part if you have the Xenon headlight. It is in an odd location. I would recommend removing the headlight to replace it. You do have to pull the front bumper but it is not hard. Mainly bolts at the bottom, across the top and in the wheel arch and it will come right out

Thanks, this is pretty much what I've done. Had to remove the panels under the hood, some bolts from the wheel well, bumper cover, then finally headlight. The LED modules are accessed from the bottom of the headlight module so this is it. I was easier than I though it would be. Just a lot of fasteners and screws. This video was very helpful:
