Thx for the input. Have you run into CELs or misfires in the time you've had them in the car? Yeah looks like the front facing upgrade is a must I suppose to avoid sucking in hot air in an already super hot bay.

I've had zero issues. No CELs and no codes whatsoever. Just remember the driver's side is a tight fit for the filter element - to the point I thought they'd shipped wrong filter size. Support was quick to reply, and it really did just require a bit more finagling.

I installed the ARM intake and while the quality of the intake is good. It offered no noticable power, throttle or driveability improvement. It marginally increased the intake sound during heavy acceleration and provides a blow off sound under heavy boost. Not really worth the money in my opinion.

I would imagine anyone who has had a different experience was driving with the charcoal filters still installed.

Yeah, I didn't go into it expecting a noticeable performance change (if any at all) . I'm in it for the sound, and I noticed a nice improvement. I've put many custom intakes on my vehicles over the years and none have improved anything other than sound on their own - but combine an intake with a tune and exhaust...different story. Keep in mind that unless u also installed the extension kit that pushes the point of intake out in front, you've basically installed a Hot Air Intake...in the case of our Hot V, a super-heated turbine destined to rob a few HP.

Oh, that's disappointing. I kind of assumed performance gains would be minimal if any, but really disappointed that turbo woosh is also underwhelming. Well, I've had to change course on the hi-flo catted downpipes I just got (selling them before install) so probably pass on this as well. More money to fund all the engine repair work I'm having to deal with on a 65K car (sigh).

Thx again for the input.

I think underwhelming is the best way I would describe the sound. It is better, but just not enough in my opinion to warrant the cost.
