N55 exhaust set up recommendations?

Has anyone done a muffler delete on their N55? If so, what setup did you go with—just a rear muffler delete or both the muffler and resonator? Please share sound clips if possible and let me know if there’s any drone with either setup. Also, what would you recommend for making it louder? My car is completely stock, no tune.

When I bought my car it had the factory downpipe and the rest was straight pipe. It sounded ok, slightly annoying but tolerable.

I installed a catless downpipe with the rest still straight piped and it was HORRIBLE! Drone, Sounded like the worst honda civic you could imagine.

Added 2 resonators in the middle and it is back to almost tolerable but still drones like hell.

I have yet found the combination im happy with.

Anything but a muffler delete, it does not sound good

i'd get a catted downpipe instead for more volume in the sound not just a louder tone

M5 muffers, 100% recommend. They come with valves (vacuum controlled) and you can hook up a vacuum pump controller (around $150) to open and close them too.
