F10 535XD Mods/Tunes
I just purchased a 2016 F10 535XD US spec and I was planning on doing the usual tuning and modifications, stage 2 tune, new exhaust system, ETC. But was having trouble finding such mods especially a new exhaust system. I've checked FCP Euro, Bimmer World, all the major BMW parts manufactures really but they only have a select options.
If anyone has any experience or any knowledge with tuning and working on these diesel cars please let me know any info would be super helpful. |

Diesel is a whole different game. Also many US suppliers are not going to carry much due to EPA crack down.
Normally I would say join North American BMW Diesel Owners Group on FB. But I will point you in a direction instead, well 2. Either Darkside Developments (look on their YouTube as well for fun) or NAT Performance and go from there 😉 ✌🏽 |

I would be careful posting about doing illegal emissions mods. A lot of shops wont do them anymore as they have been fined $500,000 per occurrence of emissions violations. Anyway the euphemism they use is their car hit a pot hole for deleted.
Anyway doing a delete gives you maybe 20-30hp more over stage 1, its not a big improvement. I used JR tuning out of Canada for my 335D. There is no difference in tunes, other than advertising claims. They all come from the same source. One company cracked the DDE and developed a software kit and base tunes that all the "tuner" companies use. So they're pretty much the same. |

Not entirely true. With Darkside you purchase their tune, upload them you’re asked to run BimmerLink for a datalog, send it back to them and they do a revision. It’s about as custom as it gets short of paying Malone for their full custom.
