Door Airbag Sensor

Hi Folks!

Had to replace the door on daughter's 2011 F10...
Since the replacement, she has an airbag light stating that the door sensor has a broken circuit: 930A65.

Checked the wiring through the door to the frame and swapped multiple crash sensors...no joy...

Anyone have any ideas for me??? 🙏🏼

Question: when you removed the door...and disconnected the air bag's electrical harness...was the BATTERY DISCONNECTED?

Anytime you have to disconnect anything associated with the air bag/restraint system...the car's battery MUST be disconnected first (powered down) until all connections are back together. If not, you will get a airbag/SRS (supplemental restraint system) warning light.

When I went to the https://bmwfault.codes/ site to look up your fault code...it does say that the warning light must be DELETED. So even if you fixed the problem, the warning light will remain illuminated until the fault has been deleted (aka "reset").

And airbag/SRS warning light requires specific equipment...if you have diagnostic equipment...it must say that it will reset SRS fault codes...if not, you will have to buy one, find one, or take it to someone that has a tool that will reset/clear the SRS system fault codes.

If you have either of those systems...you'll have to check if there's a SRS (supplemental restraint system) reset. I don't have either of those applications so I'm no help to you there.

Hopefully someone knows and can chime in.

BTW, do you think the warning is there due to disconnecting an SRS electrical connector while the battery was still powered to the vehicle?
