What is or how to tell if a car is with 'blow-by heater or cold-climate version'?

Hello,

I am looking to purchase a new 'vent hose' for 2013 BMW 528i. I found that there are two types of it and it depends on whether the car comes with 'blow-by heater' or 'cold-climate version'.

Does anyone know which one or how to tell by any chance? When I checked on both product on FCPEuro, it says both are compatiable to my car so it's been really confusing.

Try running your VIN through https://bimmer.work/ and go the options page. That should tell you if you have either. No guarantee, but pretty accurate.

Call the dealer parts department. Given them the vin and ask them which one and price. Take that info to fcp and purchase with confidence.
Realoem should be able to do a vin lookup too.

Thank you both.

I took Strada's advice and checked on bimmer.work and mdecoer and it looks like it is 'blow-by heater'.

Will also reach out to dealer parts department shortly
