BMW F10 window not rolling up help me!!
I have a 2011 BMW F10 my front passenger window will not roll back up! I have done everything! The anti trap error came on after the window rolled down but would not roll up anymore. I did the reset where you hold down the button with the ignition on etc and it did not work. The only way i can get the window back up is removing the regulator motor and pulling the window back up.
I replaced the window regulator and the motor and the same thing it would roll down but not back up and the anti trap error is still on. I tried resetting it again but it did not work. I removed the window and the regulator motor and the regulator is able to go up and down freely manually, i plugged the motor into the plug without it install on the regulator and it will spin when the switch is rolling the window down then i tried rolling it up with the switch and did not spin but you can hear a click. I also tried on the old motor that i thought was bad and same thing would spin as if the window is going down but when trying to roll up the motor just click. I dont think both motors could be bad since one is new. What do i do?!? Does something need to be coded or something? Not sure what to do since im sure the regulator, motor, switches are good. |

No idea - maybe try to disconnect the battery for a few hours / overnight and do the reset again....if you replaced components, check the connections were properly done/tightened

Aloha OP,
Try resetting the anti-trap for the rear window with the engine running...the difference is battery = 12.x VDC and engine running 13.6 VDC.... There is at least one post where this made a difference in successful and unsuccessful rear window reset. If you still can't get it to work, you should have visible codes in JBE or REM.... |
