20" Wheel decision, have been shopping around.

2011 535i Xdrive, looking to get 20" Verde V99 Axis wheels.
Is it safe to run 20x9 et 38 square setup with a 245 35 20 tire, if so Im also wanting flush fitment with coilovers. How much of a spacer will I need with this setup?

Hi, tire size is fine. I'd try a 15mm spacer, making the offset ET23.

Thank you! I will try that.

hey remmib! just curious, wouldn't there be a difference since usually the front requires less of a spacer than the rear or does XDrive have the same difference front and rear wheels as far as poke? i say this because most threads i see will recommend running a wider spacer in the rear than the front?

Rwd and xdrive have the same fitment. The difference is square setup vs oem staggered setup that needs a bit more spacing in the rear.

So just purchase spacers for the rear, and fronts will be good with none?

ET38 is pretty high, especially if you're dropped on coilovers. Lowering the car makes the wheels tuck in.
My fronts are ET26, but with 255 tires, so if you put on 15mm spacer, making it ET23, that'll be nice and flush.

They have 38et, 35et, and a 20et. Given same tire setup to avoid spacers the 20et should do fine squared? Im getting the offset a bit better, just understanding what et would be best for my car on the given tire setup. Wanting to avoid spacers but if absolutely needed for flush fitment on coils then so be it. Just curious id rather do the research and learn before I drop money on something that wont look right.

ET20 will be pretty aggressive and might rub depending on tires and how low it is. If you find pics of my wintersetup, I have 18mm spacers in the rear making it et26, et20 will poke out 6mm more.

Ill just stick with the 38et with 15mm spacers on the 20x9 245/35/20 then. You said id need all 4 on spacers to have good fitment?
