Idrive keeps restarting - Bluetooth?

Hey everyone. So a couple weeks ago I noticed when I would get in my car and turn it on the idrive would turn off and restart enough time until the whole system actually would reset, meaning all my preset information would be wiped. I narrowed it down to the bluetooth on the car. It restarts while trying to connect to my phone. I'm thinking my bluetooth module is going out? Any one have a similar issue and can confirm my suspicion?

Yes this happened to me. It's the Bluetooth. It doesn't happen every time just once in a while. BMW told me it happens because of the new iPhone updates. That was 2 years ago, I don't really use the Bluetooth I used a flash drive for music and videos now. Upgrading the Bluetooth might solve your problem.

Thanks for confirmation. How do I upgrade the bluetooth though? Do I need to replace the module or something?

Most likely the whole module, but I'm not sure exactly.

So my the bluetooth has completely stopped working in my car now. Anyone know how to fix this? Is the bluetooth located in the screen? Maybe if I just replace the screen I'll be okay?

Did you get this issue resolved? I've started running into a similar issue in my 2015. Bluetooth disconnects and sometimes randomly reconnects. Then the USB connection to my iPhone becomes temperamental.

Suppose I'll take it in, hopefully covered under extended warranty.

I haven't but I'm sure it's my Bluetooth. Let me know what they tell you.
