I ordered mine too... I just hope spool can come out with ram style intake soon so I don't have to worry about blocking intake with the bar.

BTW, I'm going to do the oil cooler. I will install an aftermarket cooler, and send out the OE cooler to get polished. ;-)

Pic of engine bay from left-front.

2.). Dewalt drill bit, , 21/64, item #93021, $5 - Lowe's
3.). T-handle tap wrenches, 3 pieces, item #38560, $9 - Harbor Freight
4.). Aerosal air duster spray, remove shavings from drilled holes, $2 - Micro Center
5.). Loctite Blue - for strut mount bolts.
6.) Brake cleaner -clean up area of oils.
7.) WD40 - For tap use and inserts installation.

Just finished the install. No hood adjustment needed. Came out tits.

Interesting that you used loctite for the bolts but none for helicoil. I know you don't need to, but you run the minor risk of the loctite messing with your helicoil when you undo the bolt. I plan on putting some loctite red on my helicoils when I do this. WD40 works well enough, but I'm probably going to go with a dedicated metal lubricant.

How deep did you drill?

Thanks for the detailed info break down!

Good point, and I considered red on the inserts; however, I felt the inserts are strong enough without it. Used blue because of the re-use of the bolts.

Deep enough for the insert to seat. I used blue painters tape to mark off depth on the drill bit.

They're definitely strong enough without the red, I just like loctite

If you install the new updated bolts w/torx head, there will be factory locking adhesive on the threads. It is yellowish, and on the first 4 or 5 threads. Since I re-used those bolts, and have lost the adhesive, I applied the blue Loctitie.

Let me know how it turns out.

Just picked up the oil cooler from the polishing shop. Looks purdy.

Lol. Few days ago, my boy Norman smoked a batch of premium meats. Picked it up in the early morn, 2 dozen bags. Mods with beef jerky, that's how John H. rolls.

What is the difference between that oil cooler, and this one?

That is (AFAIK) part of the m-sport package. Those lines run to a radiator behind the left (or right, I'm unsure) fog light grille.

Just ordered my Ebay strut! Will post some install pictures when I do. Anyone upgrade their sway bars and if so which one's?

I did H&R front and rear and will get my strut bar anyday now.

Can someone comment on how this feels and if it has reduced body roll?

You have a thermostat in that. Looks like someone was in there, aftermarket t-stat cover, BMS? A popular mod is to change the valve.

Yes, the bars helped. Most noticeable improvement in my heavy front, transaxle and transfer case.

I do have the high flow valve from BMS also installed, it made a huge difference. My car runs very cool.

How many "wrenches" was the install?

I think it's part of the driver's package (high speed synchronisation). At least according to realoem, but realoem could also be wrong. Says it's also part of the hot climate version (hot OR high speed), but my car does not have that style heat exchanger even though it's a hot climate version. I just have the block style heat exchanger.

My 2014 m-sport has the one with the plumbing and hot climate version (S823A) and my base (luxury?) 2012 has the block style; also with the hot climate version (S823A). The 2014 also has high speed synchronization (S840A) which is absent on the 2012.

I'll double check my FA later when I get home (maybe the decoders are getting it wrong) but I'm pretty sure I have 823. I think your 2014 has it because of 840, not because of m sport.

Edit:

This thread would suggest it's not related to m sport at all:

It was super simple. Just make sure you have the correct sockets/torx etc and you are good to go.
