New Wheels

I am at that critical time when you are about to make the decision on what wheel to get, but I feel like I don't quite know the boundaries of how far I can go in terms of pushing the Offset vs Wheel Width.

I am looking at going to 20" or maybe even staying at 19" to conserve the ride quality since I live and work in downtown Washington, DC.

I have a couple of very safe options but also two preferred options that are either borderline, or plain and simple do not fit due to the offsets. The issue is that I do not know for sure. I keep reading from people that buy 20" x10.5" that push the offset pretty far and then put spacers so I KNOW the offset of my Sport Pkg 19"x8.5" ET:33 and 19"x9" ET:44 can be pushed quite a bit.

So, my questions are:

IN THE REAR: If I stay narrower than most people in the rear with a 19"x9.5" or 20"x9.5" wheel, can I go to an offset of ET20? I know this is pushing it but from what I have read here, that offset apparently has work for some people.

IN THE FRONT: Can I go for a 19"x8.5" ET 20? What about a 20"x8.5" ET 14?

I have tried several offset calculators but all they do is compare one set of wheels to another. But if the first set is already conservative, like my OEM set is, the calculator does not tell me much. What I need is to relate the wheels to the edge of the fender and for that you fellow F10ers are the experts. I hope some of you can help me get the ideal set of wheels that I have in mind. I promise to post plenty of "Professional" photos of the car if you help me with this.

In advance, thanks so much for you help!!

Have you seen jaekeem's car, he has run lots of different wheels and sized spacers.
But ET 20 in the rear seems too aggressive, at least with 275 or 285 tires.
