What color mat should I buy?

Alpine white
Venetian Beige Dakota Leather interior.

Thinking about going with the darker mats.

Your thoughts?

I would definitely go with the darker mats. Lighter colored mats require much more effort to keep clean than the darker mats. Darker mats don’t show dirt and stains like the lighter mats do.

Yup...

Our 2012 base 535i is Oyster/Black. The black mats look cleaner, longer.

What do you think about the overall look of darker mats with the lighter interior?
Seems like it would tie in nicely with the dash and complete the cockpit

I'd recommend getting a set of WeatherTech mats. I've had them on my last two cars and they are so easy to clean (just wash them when I wash the car) & keeps the carpet really clean

Counterpoint: I like the all-beige look, including carpets. Yes, they need to be cleaned to look good, but I find it worth it. The beige carpets make the interior look more refined, in my humble opinion. My F10 is carbon black, so perhaps not the same as all-beige on an alpine white car.

I second getting Weathertech mats. I have a set of Weathertech mats over my black floor mats and carpet looks brand new even after crappy Michigan winters.

I think on this color combo black mats look bizzare, like black shoes with white pants. Dont do it. Go with tan and they are cheap enough to replace. I think adding rubber mats only makes sense if you have heavy winters. Perhaps you should just get all weather tan mats if you want the cleanliness and practicality with keeping same color scheme.
