How does one play youtube videos on the iDrive screen? Some guidance would be appreciated. What else can be played other than movies on usb drive or DVD?

You need some sort of a media interface installed with a wifi airplay support to allow mirroring. Check out Bimmer-Tech: https://www.bimmer-tech.net/shop/bmw...rive-retrofits |

I had a 2013 Mercedes C Class and YouTube was fully in sync, it was working great. I had a 2004 Audi A4 before that and with an aftermarket bluetooth module and also not had any sync issues.
I now have a 2016 BMW F10 520D with the EntryNav head unit and it's horribly out of sync. Any solution for this? -- no, it is not normal coming from other cars This is just playing a YouTube video on the iPad connected to the car speakers over bluetooth. EDIT: I saw in another thread, someone solved it by connecting a bluetooth to 3.5mm adapter to the aux jack. Far from ideal as you lose a lot of functionality, but useful to know as a hack to workaround the delay. Anyone know of a better solution? Last edited by hackeron; 01-03-2024 at 02:08 PM.. |
