is this timing chain ?

Hi,

is this timing chain? pic attached.

f10, 2011, 520d
engine stalled when trying to reverse.
wouldn't turn over after that.
had camshaft sensor error code.

yes it is your timing chain. Diesel engines have the timing chain in the back
