My 2015 F11 M550d Individual

I bought this lovely car for some weeks ago and since I love retrofitting of original equipments, I´ve been done some mods already. The car is an 2015 F11 M550d Individual in Champagne Quartz metallic and Nutmeg Merino extended leather interior.

Things done/nearly done:
- OEM chrome grill
- UK sun visor without airbag lable
- B-pillar ambient light from F01 LCI
- M5 steering wheel cover
- Brushed aluminum interior trim
- Full leather merino door panels (will fit them next week)
- BMW Concierge services activation
- Gentlemans function from F01
- Removed mud flaps
- LED interior bulbs
- Coded xDrive-view with compass and video in motion

Planned mods:
- Black high gloss diffusor (delivered at the paintshop)
- Leather covered airbag (airbag at the saddler at the moment)
- Rear seat upper cover ambient light from F01 (ordered in Nutmeg merino leather from Individual, probably 8 weeks delivery time)
- Rear seat entertainment
- Stage 1 tuning
- 20" Style 601 M5 Competition wheels
- Maybe front splitters in black high gloss
- F01 door shocks (if possible)
- Individual Hellbraun interior trim (if anyone selling them, please let me know)
- Storage compartment package parts
- BMW sun blinds for the rear windscreen and "D-pillar"-windows
- F15 key fobs
- Use winter tires at the OEM M550d wheels
- Leather covered seat plastic
- Leather covered B-pillar
- Leather covered side panels for the dashboard

On the way home after purchase. Its not often I´ve driving behind my F01. Actually, I think it looks quite good! :P

Finally home!

Took off the winter tires immediately..

The result..

Took some pictures they day after in Oslo..

The city was empty due the Covid19 case..

Inside. I know the color is a "love" or "hate". I like it!

My good friend and member Walkabout have 601s on his F11. Tried this, and they sits like perfect.

Flush fitment without spacers

Was trying an OEM M5 LCI grill, but I didn't like the result, so I ordered the single slat grill instead. I replaced the black grill because it wasn't in good shape

And the airbag lable/badge gone

Gentlemans function

From this

To this No more squeaky plastics

Since I hate scratches and dusts, I decided to replace the piano trim to brushed aluminium. I think the piano trim looks better imo..

B-pillar ambient lights retrofitted

The full merino leather door cards arrived. They are colored in nutmeg as we speak. They looks absolutely stunning

With single slat grill

Thanks! Yes, its definitely a monster!

The part number depends on colors and equipment (with or without active seats). I can tell you if you let me know the color and equipment.

I ordered leather covered seat backrest cover ambient light from BMW Individual (they are originally from F01/F02), and they arrived for some few days ago. Here is the result (sorry for crappy iPhone photos).

What did you tap into for the power source for the seat backrest cover ambient light assembly? (the ambient wires go to the footwell module and use a gray and gray with black stripe wire pair, which don't typically run to the seats in an F10)

Looks great...I have Silverstone II so I may have to get black.

Cheers.

Since I retrofitted B-pillar ambient lights too, I made an Y-split plug and play adapter in the B-pillar where the door wiring harness is, as they already are connected to the FRM.

Thanks.

I'll run it from the center console.

I just did a full retrofit in my F10 LCI using a pre-LCI M5 interior, which included running OEM wiring, so this shouldn't be too hard.
- Added full Merino leather dashboard
- Added 4-zone climate control (and wiring)
- Added 4-zone stratification flap assembly
- Added B-pillar vents
- Added rear seat floor electric heaters (and wiring)
- Added heated steering wheel (and wiring)
- Added full Merino leather door cards
- Added rear door sun screens
- Added rear window sun screen (and wiring)
- Added rear heated seats (and wiring)
- Added full Merino leather font comfort seats
- Added full Merino center console
- Added individual wood trim
- Added Gentleman's switch
- Added Automatic hi-beams (clock wheel change + coding)

....so adding ambient lighting to the back seat, B-pillar, rear lighter LED and ambient lighting to the front dashboard trim.

I love individual colors up until a body part needs to be resprayed or added on. Its usually going to be extremely expensive or just really hard to color match.

I've tested three dye manufacturers of Silverstone dye, and only one came close enough so I didn't have to redye the whole leather surface.

- Colourlock Leather Fresh Dye from Germany (via Amazon)

Application using the included sponge will yield DIY results....using an air brush ($80 on Amazon) will yield professional results....

What made you go back to the Msport wheel over the M wheel? The M wheel with leather steering looked so bloody mint! Was it just the heating aspect?

I also noticed the latest Msport wheel doesn't have Active Cruise Control buttons on the left. Does your car have ACC?

Talking to me? I haven't changed back to the M-sport covers. I still use the M5-cover and OEM steering wheel with heating.

Yeah I'm tokin to u!!

Haha oh it's just that in your most recent pics posted, it looks like Msport cover without the leather airbag too?

Want to sell me (or give me ) one of your button modules? I need the active cruise one!!

I ordered rear seat entertainment yesterday. Looks forward to get them!
