Advice: Buying From Marketplace/Classified

Making a purchase on here for a listing that was posted in the F10 classified's listings for a exhaust and diffuser set up. The seller seems reluctant to use PayPal goods and services and instead I should pay him via Zelle or Apple Pay for this large transaction; this should be a red light, correct? I've never purchased anything before off a forum before, if he agrees to accept PayPal, I should be good? Any other details to look out for? Any incite is appreciated, thank you.

Yeah... Why is he reluctant to use PayPal?? Is he afraid of something?

You are not covered with Zelle. Not in a million years. Even if they have a history on the forums, you never know if it's been hacked.

Thanks everyone for the responses and comments. I requested the seller to make an eBay listing and he is gonna go ahead and do that and I agreed to pay the extra listing fees. Always good to have a peace of mind when buying something expensive off here. Hopefully the rest goes smoothly!

Wouldn't you still use Paypal with Ebay? I'm surprised someone has an Ebay account but not Paypal...
