Eibach Front And Rear Sway Bar Kit for xDrive

Looking to upgrade the stock sway bars when I mount the K3s but as with every aftermarket upgrade for the F10 xDrive, there doesn't seem to be a lot of options.

ECS Tuning has this Eibach sway bar kit listed as compatible with the 550i xDrive, but it isn't the case in Eibach's own catalog. Anyone can confirm from experience whether it's actually compatible?

I have a set of H&R sways in my "inventory".

The rear end of RWD or AWD is identical, so that was never really in question.
At the front, the bar seems to fit and function fine. A little bit of trimming of the under tray was required but that was true in the RWD instructions as well.

H&R also says explicitly that they are NOT for X-Drive. There's always the risk that the reason why is non-obvious. It fits fine, but maybe some component somewhere doesn't have sufficient strength for the forces involved and a really expensive or hazardous failure could take place. I have no idea but would be interested to know.

For reasons of balance, I don't have the H&R front on the car any more, but the rear has been on for years. I believe the H&R and Eibach offerings are essentially identical except for colour.

In my experience, the stock bars are fine with the KW3. The aftermarket bars will inhibit independent movement of the suspension.

Seriously, try the stock bars first.

Good luck.

also wanted to note that's there now quite a few of us members running the upper strut bar with nice improvements. tho a few of them had installation issues some of us did not. this could be an alternative. i'm RWD and still running stock sways and after the strut bar upgrade don't feel the need to upgrade the sways. keep in mind i'm on KW's so i'm sitting pretty low. maybe if you are completely stock it might be different since you're sitting higher?

That's a good point. I was thinking about everything I can do/change at the same time, but no sense until I see how the KWs improve the ride first.

I just installed a X-drive 6 series rear sway w/edc.

This is on a RWD F10 with no edc. I think the sways are all the same.

No problem! Post pictures when you do. Interested if you have to modify the K&N gasket that goes around the box. Yup, looming into buying g the cf engine cover here shortly. Which one are you looking at?

unfortunately it's a 1x1 weave, probably why it's so cheap. They don't have any on ECS probably because of the pandemic. i would like one as OEM as possible with the bmw logo
