I changed up the rotors and pads that they sent me under warranty and so far it's going well. The pads I asked them to send me were non performance.

My mechanic also advised me not to follow their bedding in procedure. He has worked at Mercedes for 15 years and said that was the dumbest thing he has ever seen. So far driving normally and nor bed in process that is provided by R1, everything is fine.

Update for everyone. These rotors are just not holding up and I will probably have to buy original equipment. Since I changed out the old rotors and changed to softer compound pads from R1 as well a few months ago, they are already warped. Again!! No hard stop just sat in traffic a few times, didn't even get to take it out on drives like I used to. I live 3 miles from my work this is just upsetting. I had some harsh stops and really tortured the brakes on my Kia hybrid and they never failed, my acura prior to this never had these issues. Kind of upset I spent $1400 doing all this.

My mechanic said, with german cars unless youre going the expensive brand name BBK route just stick to OE stuff when it comes to brakes.

I have R1 rotors drilled slotted and ceramic pads on MB GL 350 Bluetec. I exercise engine and brakes no issues at all.

Agrand84 Going to send you a PM regarding this issue you're having with our rotors! May I ask which rotors you purchased from us? It looks like you may have our Carbon Geomet rotors which are the best rotors we have to offer. If they are, I'm surprised they've warped on you this second time around. I'll be honest, we sell these exact same rotors to the 3 & 4 Series owners along to the CTS-V and Jeep SRT members as well and haven't had issues with warping. I'll see what we can do for you to help you out if you don't mind giving us another try.

Thanks Kevin for helping me out I much appreciate it.

Kevin is helping me out and I am getting a new set of front rotors and pads and going to wear them in very very gently. The customer service is exceptional! Going to pray to the car gods thats everything will be fine after this.

any rough updates?

I'm looking for front rotors and pads and have used R1 in the past, but I'm a bit concerned over your experiences here.

No updates yet, haven't had the chance to put them on. I got new rotors and pads so I'm hoping it is all fixed after this.
