I went with H&R Springs, it still works for everything and no error codes.

First off..before modifying anything else..I'd recommend getting the Dinan shockwave installed. it makes a clear difference in the bobbing and weaving of the car in turns.
I highly recommend ANYONE with a F10 with adaptive suspension should try it out If that isn't enough, add Dinan or ACS springs... If you need new struts, you can decide to either kill EDC and go the KW Coilover route with EDC delete..or replace with stock. No-one other than BMW makes EDC compatible struts. I would say no.
I would recommend upgrading the shocks as the OEM weren't designed for lowering springs and have been noted here by members of failed/leaking shocks within a short period of time. If budget allows I would invest in coilovers as they are designed and engineered for performance and the ability to set the height to your liking
