Don't know about the cover art, but to turn off the radio, hit the start/stop button one more time before you exit the car. Once to stop the engine, again to turn everything off.

And make sure you take your foot off the brake pedal when you press the button the second time, otherwise the engine will start up again!

If you have a car produced from September on, then all you need to use to hook up your IPod is the cable you get from Apple..... and plug directly into the USB port in the center armrest console. You do not need to use the Y-Cable. As long as you have cover art in your IPod, it should show on the screen.

If your car was made prior to September, then you do need to use the Y-Cable and will not be able to see album cover artwork. There may be a programming update next year to remedy this, but unknown at this time.

You can also press and hold the start/stop button for 1-2 seconds and that will shut everything off. Glad you got the album art working!

On 2011 5 series you must tap twice to completely turn the car off. Holding the start/stop button will not work.

Sorry, I stand corrected. Worked that way on my '08 550 and still does on my '11 M3. Just assumed they left it that way...
