535iMSport ROD Knock

Good morning everyone,

New to the group!

I have a 2013 msport n55 that unfortunately has rod knock at 150k still drives but you hear knock when accelerating.

Want advice on rather I should buy a used motor or pay for a rebuild ( I live in nyc if any body knows a person who rebuilds these let me know)

Used engines that I've seen so far on my end have come out to $4500-$6000

Got a quote for a rebuild at $7500

Also got offered a N55 from a 335i owner says they fit my 5 series oil pan has to be swapped owner charging me 3k for engine that has 88k miles.

Trying to make the best decision any advice would be helpful.
