Issues with BM3 "knocking"
Hey all,
I'd like some help analyzing these data logs. I'm running Stage 2 E30 on an N63TU. I'd like some advice as the data logs say they're detecting knock. I took to a shop and they said according to ISTA it is not knocking and to disregard it. I personally think that's BS. I talked with BM3 and they sent me a test map and are basically ignoring me at this point. I recently replaced boost solenoids and fixed all boost leaks. Car drives a lot better but knock still persists. I cannot feel any knock or hear any. Also not hitting target boost but that's a separate issue. I'm not sure what to do at this point. Any help would be appreciated. Mods are as follows: Stage 2 E30 BM3 Stage 2 XHP Charge Pipes Catless DP's Arm Front Mount Intakes N63 Intake oil cooling valve Lower temp thermostat 3.5 bar pre throttle TMAP's NGK 97506 at 0.22" gap Delphi Coils Muffler delete Recently Replaced the following (Less than 100 miles ago): Pre throttle TMAP's Plugs Coils All O2 sensors Ran Liqui-Moly Fuel System Cleaner Fixed all boost leaks Replaced both boost solenoids Here is the link: https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6274...90c61dec05619a |

have you tried ruling out the tune? Flash back to stock map and then log again?

Beyond that, I hope someone who knows these motors and tuning can/will assist you and keep us all posted. Since I don't know much about the actual tuning, I can't really provide any further advice other than don't push the car until you are confident it's running safely! Good luck! |
