Custom Stereo Installation
I'm preparing to install a competition custom stereo system in my 2011 550i. This will be a Sound Quality system for competing in MECA (www.mecacaraudio.com) and IASCA (www.iasca.com). This is not an SPL or Sound Pressure Level system-Boom, Boom, how loud can I get? This system is designed to recreate the live music experience in the vehicle. My question to the group is, what is the maximum size battery I can use in this vehicle? Rather than install multiple batteries, I'd rather install a larger single battery. I added a few pics of the custom install in my E60... which took 4th place in it's class at 2018 World Finals. Your thoughts...

Largest battery you can install is a 105ah H9 battery I believe. You'll need a new bracket for it though, since you're pre-LCI, but it's a simple swap job. Part number 61217592923.
Part number is from this topic: https://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1490696 |
